Explore Pattaya with Local Insiders
As local insiders in Bangkok and Pattaya, we show you the most interesting sights along with fascinating historical facts.
Unlike other providers who quickly take you to crowded tourist islands, we guide you past them and highlight the natural beauties and unique features of Thailand, especially in the Pattaya area.
Your tour begins with a visit to the city of Pattaya, known for its lively atmosphere and attractions.
We then drive to the highest point, the Top View Point, where you can enjoy breathtaking views while sipping a cup of coffee ☕.
Along the way, we explore impressive temples and buildings constructed in honor of King Rama IX for his sixtieth birthday, giving you a deeper insight into the local culture and history.
Khao chi chan Mounten
From a distance, you can already see the golden Buddha image on Khao Chi Chan Mountain. This magnificent figure was created in honor of King Rama IX for his fiftieth anniversary on the throne.
In the area of the heart, a Buddha relic was placed in a hollow. King Rama IX personally prepared the relic for this ceremony and placed it in a container.
The image measures 109 metres high and 70 metres wide from knee to knee, with the Buddha sitting on a lotus flower that is 21 metres tall, bringing the total height to 130 metres. It took about a year to complete this stunning work of art.
Afterwards, we continue to a Chinese temple that houses a priceless collection of original terracotta warriors. This permanent exhibition is unique in Thailand and offers visitors an extraordinary cultural experience.
Viharn Sien Pattaya
Discover original pieces from 221 BC of China’s famous Terracotta Army and explore a detailed replica of the excavation site.
The collection includes many bronze and jade figures, which are truly fascinating. A detailed model of the Great Wall of China demonstrates the immense dimensions of this world cultural heritage.
Antique musical instruments and intricate wood carvings in precious teak are also part of the exhibition. Additionally, porcelain dolls in noble robes and elaborate masks are included in the extensive collection.
The partially replicated Great Wall of China is another highlight, along with beautiful bronze figures displayed across three floors with side rooms. The exhibition also portrays the dynasty of Thai kings from Rama I to Rama IX, giving visitors a unique glimpse into Thailand’s royal history.
Pattaya Beach & Walking street
When your cruise ship docks in Pattaya, a visit to Pattaya Beach is a must. This popular beach destination stretches along the Gulf of Thailand and offers plenty of opportunities for relaxation. Take a stroll along the lively beachfront promenade with its restaurants, cafés, and shops, and enjoy the perfect mix of scenic views, entertainment, and local culture – all easily accessible, even on a short shore excursion.
